ALERT: Two of Canada's largest grocers
have once again announced nationwide food
recalls.

Canada Safeway is recalling certain frozen beef burgers that may be contaminated with E. coli. They are under their in-store Gourmet Meat Shoppe and Butcher's Cut brands, and were distributed to their stores throughout Western Canada.
The affected products have a best before date of August 14th.
Meanwhile Loblaw’s, who operate stores including Superstore, Extra Foods and Wholesale Club, is advising customers not to eat President's Choice White Corn Black Bean Salsa, or PC Salsa Mild, because they may both contain pieces of plastic.
More information on this; just the latest of the many meat recalls since 1995, is available online at the Canadian Food Inspection Agency's website.
